It is now 10:30 p.m. I had a nice Christmas. I ended up making Pinwheel Cookies. I made the dough for the Double Vanilla Sugar Cookies but ended up baking the Pinwheel Cookies only. I thought they came out great. My older sister liked them. So did her mother-in-law. My mother said she liked the Pinwheel Cookies I made years ago more than these cookies.

The Pinwheel Cookies weren’t too burnt and the chocolate and vanilla flavors were nicely balanced.

It is 9:56 p.m. I did not choose a recipe to cook this week. I watched an episode of The Pioneer Woman today on Food Network. It was very interesting. She can cook almost anything from scratch. I also like Molly Yeh and sometimes Ina Garten. Another great t.v. show is America’s Test Kitchen.

It’s been a while since I’ve cooked or baked anything. I got a cookbook that I gave my mother years ago, and she has given it back to me: Heirloom Baking with the Brass Sisters.

I really like reading articles on my cell phone about food, like the best cookbooks of 2019 and people’s favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I try to eat healthier food.

A great website that’s gone is “Jessica’s Biscuit”. They had all kind of cookbooks on their website. I still like Amazon.com.

It is 6:44 p.m. I tried to make quesadillas for dinner. I drained black peas, seasoned them with salt and pepper, added some chopped garlic and onions, spooned this on a tortilla, then added salsa and shredded cheese, then fried them. One of them came out okay, but the other quesadilla didn’t. Maybe I should have cooked the other quesadilla a little longer because of the garlic and onions. They tasted mostly okay.

I’m not sure yet what my next recipe should be.
