Hello. Yesterday I made Gingerbread. I thought it came out good. I’ve never made this recipe before. I added half a cup of molasses and half a cup of honey, and also the zest of one orange. This recipe also suggested to add crystallized ginger. The picture below this one is a picture of the gingerbread before it was baked.
Here are two more pictures of the Scones I made. At first, it seemed to me to be a simple recipe, but it was actually more difficult than I imagined.
When I placed the flour, dark brown sugar, baking powder, and salt in a food processor, I had to mix the mixture in the food processor with a spoon several times after pulsing. And then I added butter, walnuts, and an egg and light cream mixture. I had to mix the mixture several times again with a spoon. Maybe the brown sugar was too dry and crumbly. The walnuts were mostly ground in the scone batter. Also, the recipe said to use one cookie sheet or jelly roll pan lined with parchment paper or foil, but I had to use the same cookie sheet twice.
It ended up tasting pretty good. It will taste even better with some cream or butter.
Here are two more pictures of the French Plum Coffee Cake. It came out pretty good. The cake tasted just right, the plums were a nice addition to the cake, and the streusel balanced everything together. It’s been a while since I’ve had coffee cake, and this recipe is slightly different from the ones I’ve had, especially with the plums.
Here are two more pictures of the Chicken Paprikash dish. This is almost the final picture.
It came out pretty good. I had some of it for dinner Thursday night. The following day I noticed one of the chicken legs was still red and pink in the center. I put the chicken in a pot with some water and cooked it for thirty minutes, turning the chicken pieces once or twice. The chicken did look better. The sauce tasted very flavorful – it had paprika, sour cream, chicken stock and onions. I boiled some egg noodles and served the chiken over it.
Here are two more pictures of the Chocolate Almond Torte that I made last night.
The torte came out good. The chocolate in the torte was rich – I used Ghirardelli 60 % Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate. The almonds added a subtle flavor along with the chocolate – the center was slightly soft and gooey. And the glaze or frosting went on the cake smoothly.
Here is a picture of Grilled Chicken Skewers that I made today. They came out good. I made six instead of the five skewers that the recipe called for. They weren’t too spicy and I used my George Foreman Grilling Machine to cook them. This is a Lebanese recipe.
